Religious vs. Scientific Methods

Filed under: Green Way Research — librarian83 @ 11:30 am

I first read classical and modern Western and Eastern philosophers when I was fifteen, and have since considered myself a person with a humanistic, pragmatic, secular, and philosophical outlook on most matters. I have been content to use reasoning and science to help me solve most of my problems. Like most people, I make room for mystical, mythical, poetic, and symbolic viewpoints when dealing with many artistic,
psychological and values issues.

“Books alone, however well written, or richly stored with facts, cannot teach all that is necessary to be know about the subject; they can only act as a guide. We must examine the work of the past, and note down errors of practice that have led to failures for rectification; so as to go forward with additional experience and a firm resolve to merit success in the new year.”

Second post on March 12, 2008. I cannot seem to get the post to ping to the blog listing services, and for them to pick up the post. No recent posts have appeared in Google Blog search index. Tonight, I changed the ping targets under Options, Writing.

My Active Blogs include:

1. Cloud Hands Blog: http://mpgtaijiquan.blogspot.com/

2. Green Way Blog: http://www.egreenway.com/weblog/

3. CUESD InfoZone Blog: http://cuesiz.blogspot.com/

Posts to the above 3 blogs are picked up by the search engines almost immediately.

Re:This&That: http://radio.weblogs.com/0117238/

I have not really decided yet on what route to take with blogs. Thinking of starting a Typepad blog so I can more easily develop a more stylish and functional blog. I’m very impressed with some of the Typepad blogs I have seen, but, of course, do I want to spend $90 a year for them to host 3 blogs. I can use Word Press for free with my web hosting accounts, but I can’t seem to figure out how to make them more visually creative. I hired a WordPress “expert” but was not satisfied with the functionality of the blog she created. Blogger is OK, and works, and is for free, but sidebar modifications are a hassle. I am still exploring and thinking on this topic.
