Photographer's Notes
Notes by Michael P. Garofalo
February 2012
Again, I am using a Cannon PowerShot SX120 IS, 10 Megapixel Camera.
Standard Cannon Photo Size Settings:
L 10M 3648 x 2736
M1 6M 2816 x 2212
M2 4M 2272 x 1704
This month (2/2012), I will be using the L setting. A typical single photo might be formatted as a .jpeg file, 2745 KB, 10M, 3648 x 2736. Then, I would use Fireworks 4 to reduce the photo to, typically 500h x 600w pixels, 100 KB.
I plan to set up and use my tripod more this month.
I will mostly use the Fireworks 4 (2000 ver.) software this month.
This is what it looks like around my computer work station at our home in Red Bluff CA.
January 2012
I took most of these
photographs in January, 2012. I used a
Cannon PowerShot SX120 IS, 10 Megapixel Camera. This month (1/2012), a
typical single photo might be formatted as a .jpeg file, 2.53 MB, with a pixel
size of 4000 x 3000. Then, I used the old Fireworks 4 software (2000
version) running on Windows XP on the old Gateway computer I use.
Fireworks 4 was used to reduce each photo to a
500 pixel height size resulting in a typical .jpeg file, 56Kb, 500h x 600w
pixels.
In February, 2012, I plan to take my photographs with the
Cannon PowerShot camera set to take and make larger pixel and larger file size
photographs. A typical photo would be a .jpeg file, ? MB, with a pixel
sixe of ???.
